Editing with Shortcut Keys

Keyboard shortcuts are a great way to speed up the editing workflow in DF Studio. They allow for faster editing without the use of the mouse or superfluous clicking.

Arrow Keys:
The use of arrow keys within DF Studio has been modified as of November, 2014. Arrow keys now move the blue selection box throughout the application, in List, Thumbnails and 1-UP views.

Paging is now done with Option+Arrow, with the exception of the 1-Up view, which still works without the Option key.

1, 2, 3 And 4 Keys:

In the project Thumbnails, List, and 1-Up views, the 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys set select levels on images. If a single image is selected, the select level is set and the selection box is advanced to the next image. If multiple images are selected, a batch select level change is made.

Other Useful Shortcut Keys:

The following keys also help in facilitating the editing process:

  • i: Reveals the Metadata Editing Pane.
  • f: Reveals the Find overlay window.
  • space bar: Pops up a larger view of the thumbnail. Press space bar again to close.
